Summer is Here!

Summer has definitely arrived around here. Just in the past 24 hours....

1. Joshua had a sleepover at a friend's house (the second one this week). The boys enjoyed sleeping in a tent in their backyard.

2. Joshua attended his last day of Vacation Bible School at our church this morning (his 5th day this week). They had a firefighter theme & about 100 kids attended each day. Joshua memorized lots of verses this week & had fun playing games, doing crafts, etc.

3. While Joshua was at VBS, Jordan & I did some watercolor painting this morning. He really enjoys his one-on-one time after Jaron goes down for his morning nap. Pretty soon, Jaron will be able to join in on the fun.

I have to laugh... Jordan got dressed by himself today. He is wearing his pajama shirt (that he never took off from last night) and overalls. lol

4. On their way home, David took Joshua fishing (his first time ever). They didn't catch anything, but they had a good time.

5. Once they got home, our family went on a quick trip to the local museum (we had a free coupon that was about to expire).

6. THEN since it was so nice out, we made a spontaneous trip to the pool out at camp (Ashley's first time swimming).

Ashley enjoyed being in the water. So cute in her little pink polka-dot bathing suit...

The moment Jaron even saw the pool, though, I could feel him cling to me. He definitely does not like the water. I think we'll spend lots of time at the wading pool this summer to get him more used to the water. The other boys never had a problem with the water when they were his age.

Ashley enjoying a peaceful nap poolside after her first swim. What a precious girl she is!

Whew! Yes, it was a very busy 24 hours. And tomorrow,? We have absolutely nothing planned. Sounds good to me!
