House Update for June 20th

This past week, the drywall company spent two days installing the sheet rock in the house. They were incredibly fast and David said he was in awe watching them. It looks amazing and really brightens up the whole house. Today they cleaned up all the mess left behind and put down brown paper on the floors. They'll finish up everything this coming week. Debbie & I stopped by after the park to see how everything looked.

Kitchen (pantry is on the left). Recessed lighting has been installed above. Those things sticking up in the middle of the floor are for the sink in the island. You can see the bathroom straight ahead on the right.

Dining Room (The kitchen, dining room, and living room are all one big room). The guest bedroom is on the left.

Living Room. David put the wood stove in a few months ago. It came in handy during some of those cold days we had.

Part of the living room. Homeschool room is in the middle, pantry is on the right.

Upstairs Bonus Room. While the guys were installing the drywall last week, David was trying to stay one step ahead of them, framing in the built-in cabinets throughout the upstairs rooms. That is what the big holes in the walls are for.

Our office will be to the right, in this back part of the family room.

Upstairs Hallway

Just before we left, the guys started putting down brown paper on the floors, and they finished it up for the whole house.

All the scraps of sheet rock in this truck are from our house!

The boys had fun exploring every nook and cranny in the house.

Then they headed outside to the trampoline.

They can hardly wait for a sleepover!
