As you can see, the outside looks a lot more done than the inside. So, no, we are not ready to move in yet. lol But the insulation is done- the only reason for the two different types of insulation is that we bought a different brand when we went to buy more. It sounds a lot more quiet now when you walk through the house, with all the insulation in there.
This morning, we heard news of a tremendous blessing!! We've been trying to decide what to do about the drywall. It really is too big of a job for my husband to do, but it's expensive to pay a company to do it. And funds are starting to dwindle. But if David does it himself, he only receives help on the weekends. That stuff is really heavy-- 4 ft x 12 ft sheets that are 5/8" thick. The guys spent the weekend putting sheet rock in most of the garage... It took 4 guys to hold up one sheet when doing the ceiling. It's just not worth it.
So we've decided to shell out the money (translation: borrow, lol) to pay a crew to put the drywall in and do all the finish work of texturing, etc-- it will only take a week and a half at the most, and when they are finished, the walls will be already textured and ready to paint. Woo hoo!! This is such a relief. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders. We also had the inspection this morning for the insulation and that passed, too.
Tomorrow, the sheet rock will be delivered and installation will begin on Wednesday. This week, David will be cutting down the two trees in our front yard, moving the camper to a different spot so we can eventually put in the patio, and many other things I'm sure.
