Mud Pies

Saturday was a pretty warm & sunny day, so we waited until the evening to take the kids to the park since they had gotten a little too much sun the day before (picking strawberries & then playing at the lake). Ashley had a great time, playing in the sand & water, getting all muddy. Her clothes were completely soaked! She actually was sitting IN the puddle most of the time, but I scooted her off to the side several times even though she ended up back in the water.





It was pretty funny that Jordan & Jaron were hardly dirty at all when we left. Jordan enjoyed pumping water out of the faucet for Ashley, and Jaron just sat on the sidewalk at the edge of the sand, scooping dry sand into a bucket. And Joshua was busy building a volcano.



I was excited that on Saturday morning, I found a sandbox at a garage sale for $3. This afternoon, we'll fill it with sand we bought from Toys R Us & then the kids can play in the sand at home too!
