Some Cute Baby Pics

Many have asked how Jaron is doing, so I'll give a quick update. Our little guy has been doing really well, and it's hard to believe he's already a month old! His eating and sleeping patterns have been wonderful, even at night. He's such a snuggler, too-- I love this stage!

A few days after we got home, we had a follow-up appt at his pediatrician. The doctor explained that when newborns get an infection, they follow a process of becoming lethargic, won't eat, and then they forget to breathe and start to turn blue. The doctor assured us that, based on his symptoms early on and the fact that all the tests came back negative, it was most likely a bacteria infection (rather than metabolic or otherwise) that just didn't happen to show up in the test cultures for whatever reason. He said this is just what happens sometimes- they're not always able to put a label on it.

He said it's not something that will be ongoing, nor will it raise his chances of getting infections in the future-- it would be the same as anyone else. So that was reasurring to hear. He also said that Jaron was about the sickest newborn they've had in their office, so it was really good that we brought him in when we did.

With all of this behind us, we've just been enjoying our little guy and getting ready for the holidays. I'll post some pictures of that soon. We've been tremendously blessed by friends bringing us meals over the past month, and I want to thank everyone for that. It's really made things a lot easier and has allowed us to focus more on little Jaron and adjusting to three boys. Here are some cute pics from over the past month.
