Our Piano Man

Lately, Joshua has been teaching himself to play the piano by ear. My mom has a piano & he'll just sit down & try to figure out how to play a certain song. He plays mostly Christmas songs & he knows how to play six or seven songs now- Silent Night, Joy to the World, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, The First Noel, Angels We Have Heard On High (among others).

In January, he played three songs for a group of his friends for a presentation (everyone had to pick something to present to the group). He went first out of about 15 kids & he did a wonderful job! He hasn't learned the correct fingering or how to read music yet, but maybe we'll start him in lessons soon. I know he'd really enjoy it. For now, though, we get to listen to Christmas songs year-round. :)
