This past month has been super busy-- camping, having a garage sale, meeting my brother's fiancee, lots of decluttering (which explains the need for a garage sale), looking for a house to buy (which explains the need for decluttering), and way more headaches than I was hoping for, haha that would be none-- and so I haven't really felt like putting photos on the computer. I should get on that, though, so here are some from last night at the pool. It was such a fun time. Our doctor's office hosted a free swim night, including pizza, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and even these fun beach balls for the kids.
After we were finally done eating, the kids all chose to play in the sand first. My lil' beach bum...
With those chubby legs, I think Ashley just might pass Jaron up in weight one of these days. lol
Speaking of Jaron, we were able to see Dr. B at the pool last night as well. She's the doctor who worked so hard to save Jaron's life when he was 2 weeks old, before sending him to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. She's not our regular doctor, but another one in the office, so we hadn't seen her in a few years. I enjoyed talking with her & having the chance to show Jaron to her today, almost 3 years later. I will forever be grateful to her for her quick actions that day. I can't imagine life without this sweet little boy.
Grammie was able to join us for the evening too! Jordan started out in these swim shorts, but he was constantly having to pull them up (lol) so that's why the wardrobe change in the last pictures. New swim shorts are definitely in order for that boy!
The kids all playing in the sand...
Joshua dug a big pit so he could bury himself in it...
Dad helped pile the sand on...
Buried up to his neck!
Jaron playing beach ball with Grammie...
Finally the kids were actually interested in the water. A sweet photo with Grammie first...
Ashley excited about the water...
Jordan didn't want to stop playing in the sand, but Dad wanted all the kids in one place, so swimming it was. Jordan told me at bedtime he was really glad that he played in the water, though.
One of my favorite times of the evening was playing beach ball with Joshua.
We even enjoyed a pretty sunset...
The beach balls were sure a hit!
And we're looking forward to doing it all again tonight with friends since tonight is the library's free swim night for the summer reading program. And since we came home with 4 out of 5 sand toys, maybe we'll even find that shovel that Jordan buried!
