In November, a week before Ashley was born, we had a little bit of snow, but Jordan only got to see it out the window. I don't know... it probably had something to do with his mom being nine months pregnant & wanting to stay nice & cozy inside... lol
Oh well... he was excited to "look" at it nonetheless. :)
So in February when it snowed, he got to play, play, play.
He had fun exploring in the backyard...
Joshua had fun too...
Making snowballs to throw at mom. Nice.
Eating some...
And then filling a bowl to bring inside & make snow ice cream (also called snow pudding).
If you've never made it before, you're missing out! It's my favorite thing about snow. Jordan loved it too...
Here's the recipe if you'd like to try it the next time you have some snow: Gather a large bowl of snow (or 2 or 3). In a smaller bowl, combine the following ingredients:
2 cups of milk
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons vanilla
1 egg
Then just dish up an individual-sized bowl of snow, pour some of the mixture over & mix it together! You can adjust the ingredients to taste. I usually add a little extra sugar to mine. Warning-- snow ice cream can be VERY addicting. :)
