Friends From Overseas

It's been over a year since our family has been out of town together (unless you count the hospital trip to Portland last Thanksgiving), so it's been so nice having everyone come to visit us this summer from places like Washington, California, Utah, & Texas since we haven't been able to get away.

A few weekends ago, my college roommate, Rebecca was in town with her family. They are English teachers overseas, so we only get to see them every few years. She has a 7-month-old little boy, so it was fun to get our boys together. We spent the day in Salem, having lunch with them at Red Robin, and then a few hours at the A.C. Gilbert Discovery Village.

Fun with bubbles...

Fun in the Toddler Zone...

This was a fun little pretend grocery store for the kids.

Jordan got to push his own cart,

pick out his groceries,

& then dump everything out while another boy scanned everything. He was very into it.

Jordan loved running back & forth as the trains went around the track...

There was even a train table he could play at...

And the best part of the Discovery Village is this super fun playground...
