We were all so excited when the carpet was installed last Wednesday. Now we're able to start moving things in and the boys have a clean, soft place to play. After the initial running through the hallway barefoot and standing on his head, Joshua didn't waste any time bringing in toys to play with in his room...
David is still getting all the outlets covered as well as the gaping holes closed up for the built-in cupboards. So Jordan's bedroom isn't quite suited for him to roam around in yet. But since my closet is the only "room" in the house without electrical outlets, it has been serving as the perfect playroom for Jordan. He loves it! And it's felt like Christmas because they've both been able to play with toys that had been packed away for almost two years! So fun...
The past week has been so fun because we can actually start getting some things moved into the house. I've been packing up things here and taking loads over each day, as well as unpacking the sheds. Mostly just putting things in the garage, sorting the boxes into piles, and getting things ready to move into the house. But we've been getting a little bit moved in. I've also been washing sheets and towels, stocking up on household items, etc... whatever I can do to make this as smooth of a transition as possible. I also picked out curtains last week, too.
Mostly everything has been delivered to the house now. It just needs to be installed. David's been working on the electrical (hooking up light fixtures, switches, outlets) and installing the doors. My mom has been helping out a lot with putting in lights, smoke detectors, and whatever else she can help out with. Joshua thought he was so funny, trying to block me from taking a picture of this light fixture... lol
Our laminate floor was delivered last week for most of the downstairs as well as all of our trim for throughout the house, which will need to be painted... that's a lot of painting!
David has also been putting in the vinyl floor in the laundry room and bathrooms. Joshua has helped out with that too. We got a really good deal on our cabinets by allowing David to assemble them instead. So on Saturday, he and Thom put them all together, not only for the kitchen but also for the laundry room and master bathroom. They are so beautiful!

There is still lots to do, but this is a very exciting stage to be at. It'll still be a little while before we can completely move in, though, as our kitchen still looks like this... lol
But at least we have mostly everything for it... it just all needs to get installed... It's going to be another busy week around here...
